Core funding for our giving comes from the Katz Family Foundation, initiated by Don's father, Irwin "Irv" Katz, of Indianapolis. We also give directly out of our annual income and through Donor Advised funds.
Our funding priorities include:
- Leadership Development and Capacity Building for Progressive Social Change
- Community Organizing
- Building Progressive Power in Wisconsin
- Jewish and Buddhist Communities and Resources
We are particularly interested in funding innovative approaches to social change that integrate "inner work" or spiritual and psychological processes with transforming social systems. Some of our giving in this area is through the Seasons Fund for Social Transformation.
