Don B. Katz
Don has a Masters and a PhD in Botany and Horticulture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has worked in computers, financial investing, and as a stay-at-home single parent of two children with significant disabilities. He is a donor and activist with organizations working for progressive social justice, including serving as treasurer, board president, and interim executive director of Wisconsin Community Fund, as founding partner of the Donor Collaborative of Wisconsin, and as a board member of the Seasons Fund for Social Transformation. Don has been a practicing Buddhist for over 30 years and is ordained as a lay leader in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. He has also trained as a social change agent with Robert Gass, and as a meeting facilitator with Community at Work in San Francisco and Facilitating By Heart in Madison, WI. Don enjoys bicycling and cross-country skiing, and is a musician who loves to sing and play the guitar. He is happily married and loves working with his wife, Rebecca Krantz
Rebecca S. Krantz
Becca is the Principal of Many Stones Consulting, LLC, where she facilitates transformational reflection and learning for individuals, teams, and organizations, through leadership coaching, meeting facilitation, training, and evaluation research. Becca has a PhD in Sociology from the UW-Madison, where she studied the social, psychological, and spiritual foundations of community participation and activism. She worked as executive director, facilitator, and community organizer for a non-profit coalition of neighborhood associations in Madison, and helped found the Grassroots Leadership College and CORE (Consulting for Organizational Reflection and Effectiveness). Rebecca is happily married and spends a lot of time with her husband, two step-children, and other family and friends. She has a daily yoga practice, and loves to swim, dance, hula hoop, sculpt, knit, cook, and write.
